AtLA AU fanart

Fifty years after the Avatar’s disappearance, Kagome is faced with the task of restoring balance to the world.


Anyhow, I've been working on an Inuyasha AtLA AU fic (see my previous post). I realise I'm far from the first person to do one of these but the idea just wouldn't leave me alone. It was too good an opportunity to explore/expand on themes and relationships that I wish had got more attention in the original manga (especially the relationship between Kagome and Kikyou outside of the infamous love triangle).

I drew this mainly to get Kagome's design down so I shamelessly borrowed Katara's pose. :p I tried out a few different colouring techniques (some more successful than others). I’d really appreciate some advice on shading cloth and doing water effects (links to tutorials are also appreciated).
